The television show "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" makes lots of money through advertising by building/renovating homes of people who can't afford it.
They're leveraging selfish commercialism to meet the needs of others.
If we changed the way we looked at money, we'd suddenly see businesses competing to be the most charitable to earn us as customers.
